Cherise I enjoyed this entire EP (Shadow's Dawn) and struggled to choose a favourite track, as in my opinion, they all stood out. As stated in my other reviews for Valiant's albums/EPs, the vocals compliment the ambient atmosphere created by the wonderful musicianship and instrumentation. Awesome work, Valiant! Favorite track: Mystic Mountain Dream.

about

Shortly after the release of Spellbound, Archon uncovered three unreleased tracks, or unfinished and worked on finishing them for release. He also began working on the first Valiant cover song for Summoning's Like Some Snow - White Marble Eyes.

Shadow's Dawn is meant as a "thank-you" for the support this project received throughout the year. Third album will release at one point in 2017.

Track Name: Shadow's Dawn
A dark fog hidden underground,
Below the earth and free of sound,
With the sight of despair profound.
Conceal to repeal the shadow's dawn,
Reveal the seal as the evil's pawn.
Where evil rests and forever is sealed,
With no longer no corrupted power to yield.
A dark fog hidden underground,
Below the earth and free of sound,
With the sight of despair profound.
In a vault of mystery where evil lays,
Awaiting to see the end of days.
Conceal to repeal the shadow's dawn,
Reveal the seal as the evil's pawn.
Track Name: Mystic Mountain Dream
Bless this mountain, with promises of serenity,
And the light to guide, no more evil to hide,
These lands to seek, in this mystic dream.

Believe to release, destiny in this mystic dream.

Forget the darkness, follow the winds of glory,
And the night to explore, no corruption anymore,
Take this vision you see, mystic mountain dream.

Believe to release, destiny in this mystic dream.
Track Name: Ancient Rune
A far time in evil's mystic prime,
The creation of the blood king's rime,
It sleeps immortal dreams of darkness comes fast,
Into the great below their stone cold evil is vast.

Bring to arms, the battle of scars,
Call the stars, and the night is day.

Writings to decipher meanings of doom,
Written long ago in the dark one's tomb,
It awakens with eternal life,
And from an ancient rune it will strive.

Bring to arms, the battle of scars,
Call the stars, and the night is day.

Bring to arms, the battle of scars,
Call the stars, and the night is day.
Track Name: Like Some Snow - White Marble Eyes
How countless they congregate
O'er our tumultuous snow
Which flows in shapes as tall as trees
When wintry winds do blow,
Upon this star I fixed my eye
All over the wide land
My horse moved on, hoof after hoof
He raised and never stopped again.

As if with keenness for our fate
Our faltering few steps on
To white rest, and a place of rest
And yet with neither love nor hate
Those stars like some snow-white
Morgoth snow-white marble eyes
